The Elgin Courier News just completed a series with
each member of the city council responding to our seven
points. In fairness to the city council, it would have been
interesting to ask the question, "Do you have any ideas
for solutions to the illegal alien problems in town?"
But they weren't prohibited from adding to the
comments. Most additions turned out to be excuses for
why the city shouldn't get involved or slamming AFLA for
its "tactics".
The replies all had a certain sameness to them for some
unexplained reason.

position and give us a chance to respond in detail to
their responses.

hall. Send letters, e-mails, and phone calls expressing
how you feel about their responses.
The battle will be won only if we keep up the pressure
by making contact with them and getting more people
